Therapy isn't always easy. Whether you're breaking a habit, navigating a difficult relationship, recovering from trauma, or simply feeling that something isn't quite right, you don't have to face it alone. I offer a safe, compassionate space where you can explore life's challenges, build trust, and begin to heal at a pace that feels right for you.
I'm an integrative psychotherapist and mindfulness teacher, drawing on a range of evidence-informed approaches to find what works best for you. I believe that while techniques and theories are important, it is the therapeutic relationship that creates the conditions for lasting change. My priority is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, supported and never judged.
My own journey began with lived experience of trauma that shaped much of my childhood, adolescence and early adulthood. It was through my own therapy that I discovered healing isn't about asking, "What's wrong with me?" It's about understanding the experiences, relationships and patterns that have shaped us, and recognising that our brains and bodies are constantly communicating with us.
That understanding inspired me to become a therapist and remains at the heart of my work today. It also led to the creation of Brain Ecology—a philosophy built on the belief that everything is connected. Our brain doesn't work in isolation. Our nervous system, sleep, hormones, nutrition, movement, relationships and environment all influence how we think, feel and function. By understanding those connections, we can make informed choices that support meaningful, lasting change.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than twenty years in the global energy sector, working in senior commercial and leadership roles across high-pressure international environments. That experience gave me a deep appreciation of resilience, human behaviour, performance under pressure and the importance of psychological wellbeing—insights I continue to bring into my work with individuals, leaders and organisations.
Based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, I work with clients both in person and online throughout the UK and internationally. I also design and deliver workplace wellbeing programmes, leadership workshops and mental health education for organisations, schools and community groups.
For me, therapy isn't simply about reducing symptoms—it's about helping people better understand themselves. My aim is to empower you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to support your own wellbeing, build resilience and create lasting change.

At Brain Ecology, I believe that lasting wellbeing begins with understanding the connections that shape our health. Rather than viewing thoughts, emotions or symptoms in isolation, I take a whole-person approach, recognising that our brain, nervous system, sleep, hormones, nutrition, movement, relationships and environment all influence how we think, feel and function.
Together, we'll explore not only what you're experiencing, but why. By understanding the bigger picture, we can identify the patterns, experiences and influences that may be contributing to your wellbeing and develop practical, evidence-informed strategies that create meaningful, lasting change.
Every person is unique, which is why there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Drawing on a range of therapeutic models, neuroscience, mindfulness and psychoeducation, I tailor each session to your individual needs, goals and circumstances. My aim is not simply to help you cope, but to help you better understand yourself, strengthen your resilience and feel more confident navigating life's challenges.
Alongside one-to-one therapy, I work with organisations to improve workplace wellbeing through education, workshops and leadership programmes. By helping individuals and teams understand the connections between stress, brain function, nervous system regulation, sleep, movement and overall wellbeing, I support healthier workplaces where people can thrive both personally and professionally.
At the heart of Brain Ecology is a simple belief:
Everything is connected.
When we understand those connections, we are better equipped to make informed choices, support our wellbeing and create lasting, positive change.
